![]() I arranged the floral pieces and some of the leaves have a little foam mounting tape under them. I trimmed a strip of white glossy cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Happy Poinsettia stamp on it with Ranger Black Archival Ink. I love the touch of drama black brings to a card! Trimmed it to be a panel on an A2 size cardbase. I heat embossed SSS Outline Merry Christmas Background on Black cardstock with white embossing powder. There are coordinating dies for this stamp set but I don’t have them so I made do with the Scan and Cut…I’d rather have the dies so into the cart they go! I started this card by stamping on glossy white cardstock! Remember glossy cardstock? I know, blast from the past but it worked for me! There are so many wonderful new products! Just WOW! I don’t know if it’s a combination of being older, out of shape, and more aware of how dangerous it is for me to fall while riding a bike (broken bones and all) but I’m such a chicken! Literally my husband loaded up me and the bike in my car and we drove to a local park and I practiced in the parking lot and it was hilariously awkward. ![]() I tried a few more times…once in high school and more recently when my husband and parents bought me a gorgeous bike for my birthday a few years ago. So I decided I didn’t need to ride my bike anymore. And I don’t know about you but I was not about to go riding around the neighborhood with my helmet-only friends while I looked like a walking advertisement for every piece of safety gear known to man. But then my mom, who’s always been big into safety for some reason, □ laid down the law that I was not allowed to ride my bike without a helmet, knee guards, and various other safety equipment. And when we moved back when I was in 5th grade I was all gung ho about riding bikes again. And then we moved to Japan for a few years sans bike. I did know how to ride a bike…when I was like seven. The person who invented the phrase “…it’s like riding a bicycle” never met me. I have a confession to make…I don’t know how to ride a bike. It’s not often that a card makes its way out of my craft room with no stamping but this was a special occasion for a very special crafty bike-loving friend! □
